Daily reports from the 12 police districts

A døgnrapport (daily report) is the police's own excerpt of one day's reports and incidents in one police district. It is not a complete list: the police choose what to publish, and some details are held back for the sake of the investigation. The day usually runs from 7 am to 7 am, and the report normally comes out during the morning.

The reports are collected at politi.dk/doegnrapporter, but not every district publishes them. In October 2026, 6 of the 12 districts did. The others only post news and short messages. Daily reports are normally not part of the police's short messages (only now and then, when politi.dk has technical problems), so they don't usually appear in the list above – use the links below. The reports are in Danish.

The figures cover the short messages from POLITI | UPDATE that we fetched. Each district's feed only shows its latest 25 messages, so if we have been down, messages from busy districts may be missing – in Københavns Politi's feed, 25 messages go back only about ten days.

112 or 114?

112 – when it's urgent

Call 112 when it's urgent – for example when a burglar is still there, or someone is driving dangerously right now. A call to 112 sends the phone's GPS position to the alarm centre.

114 – when it isn't urgent

Call 114 to report something that doesn't need the police to come straight away – for example a burglary where the burglar has left – or to get advice and pass on information. Service 114 is staffed 7 am to 11 pm; outside those hours calls go to the duty centre.

Animal hit by a car

If you have hit an animal, or one is lying on the motorway, you can call Dyrenes Beskyttelse (animal welfare) on 1812.

About the police messages here

  • POLITI | UPDATE carries the police's short operational messages – for example about road accidents, closed roads and searches. We fetch them every 5 minutes and show the headline unchanged with a link to the message.
  • If the headline names a town, we place the message there (≈). Otherwise it covers the whole police district (◌). If it names an address, we show a neutral title.
  • Searches for missing people are removed when the police report the person found, and at the latest 72 hours after the police's last update.
  • Advarselslisten is not affiliated with the police. The official source is always politi.dk.
