About Advarselslisten
Accidents, fires, rescues and traffic incidents across Denmark – compiled from open data.
Advarselslisten brings together fire and rescue call-outs, police messages and DMI warnings from open government sources in one place – sorted by time and place, with a map and filters for region, municipality and distance.
Advarselslisten is an independent compilation of open data and not a government service. Information may be delayed, incomplete or change afterwards. Always check the original source and don't base safety decisions on this site.

Sources and coverage
| Source | Content | Updates | Location | Terms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Danish Emergency Management Agency – ODIN 1-1-2 landsdækkende puls | Alarms from 112 to the municipal fire and rescue services: fires, road accidents, rescues, gas, pollution and fire alarms. The type is 112's first report, not the fire service's final assessment. | Every 2 minutes | The responding fire station's town (approximate) – never an address | May be republished with clear attribution and a link to www.odin.dk/112puls |
| Danish Police – POLITI | UPDATE | The police districts' short messages: road accidents, fires, closed roads, searches, arrests and preliminary court hearings. We show the headline unchanged and link to the message. | Every 5 minutes | The town named in the headline, otherwise the police district | Headline and link with attribution |
| DMI – warnings via MeteoAlarm | DMI's weather and high water warnings at yellow, orange or red level, in Danish and English and without changes. | Every 2 minutes | The warning area as DMI names it | MeteoAlarm terms (equivalent to CC BY 4.0) |
| Danish Road Directorate – traffic messages (DATEX II) | Accidents, vehicles and animals on the road, fallen trees and road damage. Coming once access to the Road Directorate's data exchange is in place. | Every 2 minutes (when active) | Exact position and road number | CC BY 4.0 |
| Reference data | Municipality, region and police district codes: Statistics Denmark. Municipal boundaries: Danish Agency for Climate Data (DAGI). Fire service areas: Danish Emergency Management Agency, “Redningsberedskabet i tal 2025”. Towns and municipal centres: Wikidata. | When they change | – | CC BY 4.0 · CC0 |
Coverage and limitations
- Call-outs are shown with 112's first report. Many automatic fire alarms turn out to be blind alarms, with no fire.
- The location is the responding fire station's town, not the scene itself. When the station isn't given, the fire service's area is shown (◌), and the incident appears neither on the map nor under “Near me”.
- Police messages are shown with the police's own headline. If the headline names a town, it is shown (≈); otherwise the message covers the whole police district (◌). If the headline contains an address, we show a neutral title instead.
- Searches for missing persons are removed when the police report the person found or the search cancelled, and at the latest 72 hours after the police's last update.
- DMI warnings are not yet linked to municipalities and are therefore shown on every page; the warning's title names the area.
- The site shows the last 30 days. Greenland and the Faroe Islands are not covered.
- The sources are in Danish. On the English site we only translate our own labels and 112's incident types; police headlines are shown in Danish.
Who runs it?
Advarselslisten is an independent project run by a private individual. It has no connection with the police, the Danish Emergency Management Agency or DMI and receives no data that isn't public. The lists of incidents and warnings are fetched automatically from the sources' publicly available feeds, while the explanations on the theme pages, the police district overview, the translation of 112's codes and the guides are written by us and checked against the sources named on each page.
Privacy
We use no analytics and never ask for personal information. If you use “Near me”, your location stays in your browser. The authorities' messages are shown without addresses, and searches for missing people are removed once they are over. Read more in our privacy policy.
Contact, corrections and removal
